Maumere, August 22^nd, 2017 | In improving the capacity of human resources in tourism destination management, the Center for Tourism Destination Studies (CTDS) under the auspices of STP NHI Bandung in collaboration with Swisscontact WISATA II held Destination Management (DM) Training in Maumere, Sikka on August 20-26, 2017. The training aims to prepare qualified and competent tourism people in the field of governance of tourism destinations in accordance with the latest developments in Indonesia and abroad.

Participants in this training came from various tourism-influential sectors: Destination Facilitator, DMO, Tourism Management Organization (TMO), Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (IHRA), Associations of The Indonesian Tour and Travel Agencies (ASITA), Tourism Department, and other stakeholders. The training was officially opened by the Regent of Sikka Regency, representative of STP Bandung, and representative of Swisscontact WISATA II. The training has scored trainers from various regions of Indonesia, including Flores, Tanjung Puting, Toraja, and Wakatobi.

STPB, August 17^th, 2017 | STP NHI Bandung conducted the Flag Ceremony in commemoration of the 72^nd Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17^th, 2017. Held at Dome STP NHI Bandung Parking Field, the activity was continued with Blood Donor in cooperation with Palang Merah Indonesia. A few days earlier, all new students of STP NHI Bandung academic year 2017/2018 participated in the Competitions at DOME STP NHI Bandung.

Held at the Convention Hall, the event was held in cooperation between STP Bandung with Student Parent Association (IOM).

STPB, August 7^th, 2017 | STP Bandung organized the Admissions Procession Ceremony of New Students of Postgraduate, Bachelor Degree, Diploma IV and Diploma III for the Academic Year 2017/2018 by STP Bandung Senate on August 7^th, 2017. Held at the Convention Hall, the event then was continued with Studium Generale entitled "Entrepreneurship Development In the Tourism Sector (Tourism Higher Education and Tourism Development Generally", presented by Mr. Samsriyono Nugroho, Special Staff of the Minister of Tourism for Information Technology Ministry of Tourism.

On the same day, Character Building Activity by Team ESQ belongs to a series of activities of new student lectures. In addition, STP Bandung students who have implemented a Real Work Practice attended the PKN Student Reception which took place in the 6th floor of Ciremai Building.

STPB, August 4^th, 2017 | 628 new students of STP NHI Bandung academic year 2017/2018 attended the Basic and Professional Attitude Development (PSDP) at Secapa AD and STP NHI Bandung for six days, from 31 July to 5 August 2017.

With the theme of Generation of Excellence, the method applied to the participants of PSDP 2017 is Adult Learning (Brief Act - Debrief) which aims to stimulate the students’ ability of logic, leadership, communication, time management, and creativity, so they can be able to work in tourism industry.

PSDP 2017 is expected to build tourism generation with good character and resilient, also able to compete internationally, in line with PSDP 2017 tagline, 'Global, Unique, Tough, Superb'.

STPB, August 3^rd, 2017 | STP NHI Bandung held the Opening of Final Examination for the Period of August 2017 for Postgraduate, Graduate, Diploma IV, and Diploma III students. The opening was held in the Convention Hall on Monday, July 24^th, 2017. It was officially opened by Deputy Director I of STP NHI Bandung, Mr. Jacob Ganef Pah. Final Examination for the period of August 2017 will be held until August 1^st, 2017, participated by 392 students. 376 students has passed the Final Examination for the Period of August 2017. There was also 15 students who announced as students with the highest GPA on the Closing Ceremony of Final Examination on August 3^rd, 2017

Bandung, July 14^th, 2017 | The signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) of entrepreneurial incubator program between STP NHI Bandung and SBM ITB was held on Friday, July 14^th, 2017. STP NHI Bandung coorporates with the School of Business and Management (SBM) ITB in order to improve the quality of entrepreneurship in the field of tourism. MoA was signed by the Director of STP Bandung, Dr. Anang Sutono and Dean ofSBM ITB, Prof. Dr. Sudarso K. Wiryono, at SBM ITB Building.

The cooperation covers six areas, including the preparation of the entrepreneurship curriculum, the development of entrepreneurship capacity of lecturers, the development of business incubator programs, the development of tourism financing business model, the holding of competitions and entrepreneurship exhibitions, and the modeling of entrepreneurship-based tourist villages.

STPB, June 22^th, 2017 | Director of STP NHI Bandung, Dr. Anang Sutono and the Regent of Pakpak Bharat Regency of North Sumatra, Dr. Remigo Yolando Berutu signed the Memorandum of Understanding as a form of cooperation in the field of education, in order to establish a tourism education institution in Kab. Pakpak Bharat.

STPB, May 23^rd – 24^th, 2017 | Internship and Career Center (ICC) STP NHI Bandung organized the 11^th International Tourism and Hospitality Grand Recruitment 2017 on May 23^rd – 24^th, 2017. Grand Recruitment 2017 was held with the theme "Digitally Connected to Wonderful Tourism", at Dome STP NHI Bandung,

Not only facilitate STP NHI Bandung graduates, this event also opens opportunities for job seekers in general, because the job vacancy available in job fair is not only limited to tourism, hotel and travel but also includes finance, IT, communication, design, mechanical/ engineering, personal assistant, sales and marketing, and others. Various companies engaged in tourism, hotels, resorts, airlines, theme parks, travel agents, cruise lines, retail, and others participate in this annual event.

More than 50 companies participated in Grand Recruitment 2017, provided over 15,165 job vacancies of 1078 managerial level positions, 960 supervisors and 12,326 entry level / rank and file, and 1052 other vacancies including 33 positions for persons with disabilities, with the largest vacancies available in the field of Hospitality.

Bandung, May 17^th – 19^th, 2017 | Indonesia Tourism Competition 8 was held on May 17^th – 19^th, 2017, was held at Politeknik Negeri Bandung. With 22 competitions, consisted of 14 special competitions and 8 general competitions, this event was attended by 582 participants from 44 universities and 12 provinces, including Politeknik Negeri Bandung, Telkom University, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, STIEPAR YAPARI-AKTRIPA, and STP NHI Bandung.

STP NHI Bandung won the overall champion with a total value of 44 points, entitled to bring the rotating trophy of the Ministry of Tourism. The second rank was achieved by Telkom University with a total of 22 points, and the third rank was achieved by STP Nusa Dua Bali with a total of 18 points.

STPB, May 2^nd – 5^th, and June 13^th-16^th, 2017 | STP Bandung organized the SMMSTAPP and SBMSTAPP Selection Enrollment Test Academic Year 2017/2018 for Diploma III, Diploma IV, Graduate, and Postgraduate Program. SMMSTAPP was held on May 2^nd – 5^th , and SBMSTAPP was held on June 13^th until June 16^th, 2016.

The Enrollment Test consisted of psychological and English written test, oral test (interview) and medical tests which include physical tests, urine tests, and rontgen-thorax. The number of applicants who followed the SMMSTAPP Enrollment Test reached 3092 applicants, but only 385 participants who passed the selection. Meanwhile, SBMSTAPP was followed by 1766 applicants with the number of participants passed the selection is 325.

STPB, April 19^th - 20^th, 2017 | Students of Travel Business Management of STP NHI Bandung organized the Travel Mart 2017 on Wednesday, April 19^th - 20^th, 2017. This annual event that organized by Travel Department of STP Bandung since 1999 was presented with the theme of “True Sight of Indonesia” this year. Held in DOME STP NHI Bandung, Travel Mart 2017 was officially opened by Dr. Anang Sutono, CHE (Director of STP NHI Bandung) and Herman Rukmanadi as the Head of the Association of the West Java - Indonesian Tours & Travel Agencies (ASITA).

The 18^th Travel Mart this time creates an actual transaction between buyer and seller. STP NHI Bandung students under the auspices of Enhaii Travel, competing with other travel agents offering tour packages which mostly are destination packages in West Java.

STPB, April 3^th – 6^th, 2017 | STP NHI Bandung held the Opening of Final Examination for the Period of April 2017 for Postgraduate, Graduate, Diploma IV, and Diploma III students. The opening was held in the Hall on the 6^th floor of Ciremai Building STP Bandung on Monday, April 3^th, 2017. It was officially opened by the Director of STP NHI Bandung, Dr. Anang Sutono. Final Examination for the period of April 2017 will be held until April 6^th, 2017.

This Final Examination for the Period of April 2017 is participated by 2 students, with one participant of Postgraduate Program and 26 participants of Postgraduate Program, Bachelor Program, Diploma VI, and Diploma III program. The Closing of Final Examination was held on April 6^th, 2017, announced the best students with the highest scores.

STPB, March 13^th, 2017 | Minister of Tourism inaugurated 499 graduates of STP NHI Bandung at STP NHI Bandung Graduation Ceremony on Monday, March 13^th, 2017. The graduates consist of three students of Postgraduate Program, 71 students of Graduate Program, 128 students of Diploma IV Program, and 297 students of Diploma III Program.

The graduation ceremony is part of the 55th Anniversary Events on March 11^th, 2017, consists of social activities: Seminar Forum for International Tourism and Environment (FITE), Scientific Oration, Graduation Ceremony, Book Launching of The Journey 2016, 55 Wonderful People for Wonderful Indonesia and 55 Elaborated Indonesia Menu.

The graduation ceremony of STP NHI Bandung in March 2017 was attended by the Minister of Administrative Reform of Bureaucracy Mr. Asman Abnur, SH., M.Si., Vice Governor of West Java Mr. H. Deddy Mizwar, and representatives from the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia (DG of Bina Latas).

STPB, March 22^nd, 2017 | STP Bandung received a visitation from the Head of Tourism Department of West Java Province and Chairman of IHRA West Java (Regional Executive Board of the Indonesia Hotel Restaurant Association) to STP NHI Bandung on Wednesday, March 22^nd, 2017. On this occasion, Director of STP NHI Bandung, Dr. Anang Sutono, CHE warmly welcomed the visit of Hj. Ida Hernida, SH., M.Si (Head of Tourism Department of West Java Province) and H. Herman Muchtar, SE., MM. (Chairman of Indonesia Hotel Restaurant Association of West Java Regional Executive Board).

STPB, March 12^th, 2017 | STP Bandung in cooperation with IFI-Institut Francais Indonesia (under the Embassy of France) held FITE for the second time, after success in 2016 and one of the STP Bandung students was the winner of the competition.

This year, FITE Business Solutions Competition invites students from Indonesia, France, and the world to participate in a "Business Case" competition focusing on how to promote sustainable tourism businesses in Indonesia.

The 2017 FITE International Student Conference held in the Hall on the 6th floor of Ciremai Building STP NHI Bandung, Sunday, March 12^th, 2017, attended by students, sector professionals, researchers in the field of sustainable development, as well as educators in the field of tourism. On the previous day, March 11^th, 2017, the finalists participated in Coaching Day in Maribaya Glamping, with Mentors from Georges Washington University (GWU), USA.

Fite Conference 2017 officially opened by the Director of STP NHI Bandung, Dr. Anang Sutono, CHE. and Ms. Emilienne Baneth-Nouailhetas (Educational Cooperation Attaché French Embassy in Indonesia). On this occasion, the finalists presented the research of tourism business solutions with judges from Georges Washington University, IFI, and tourism stakeholdet in Indonesia. Winners of the competition are given the opportunity to attend the summer school in France for one month.

Bandung, March 12^th, 2017 | Celebrating The 55^th Anniversary, STP NHI Bandung organized a Courtesy Dinner on Sunday, March 12^th, 2017. Held at the Ballroom Papandayan Hotel, The "Infinite" Courtesy Dinner is themed "Wonderful People for Wonderful Tourism".

In conjuction with the launch of the book of "55 Wonderful People for Wonderful Tourism", Courtesy Dinner invites 55 Inspirator Figures in the book, including the Minister of Tourism, Dr. Arief Yahya, Sultan Kacirebonan, Bupati Pangkep, Director of IHRA West Java, Hotel General Managers, Rector of Universities, entrepreneurs, artists, and chefs. Tourism Minister handed the 'Award of Excellence' to 55 Inspirator figures and GM Hotel represented by Irmansjah Madewa and Chef represented by Chef Didi Han.

STPB, March 11^th, 2017 | Celebrating the 55^th anniversary, STP NHI Bandung launch the "ROAD TO GM" book on Saturday, March 11^th, 2017. The book tells the story of the career of 55 alumni of APN, NHI, NHTI, BPLP and STP Bandung which has now become General Manager at various hotels.

The launch and book review event was attended by Director of the STP NHI Bandung, Dr. Anang Sutono, CHE, Author of "ROAD TO GM" Irmansyah Madewa, Practitioner of Padjadjaran University Violetta Simatupang as moderator, as well as the hospitality practitioners and students.

The Director of STP NHI Bandung said that as a profile, this book is very inspiring and motivate students. Irmansjah Madewa as the author said, the purpose of the book is to improve skills and motivate the readers, especially the hotelier in Indonesia. This book is a collection of success stories from the Indonesia Hotel General Manager which is also alumni of STP Bandung since the growth of the hotel business in Indonesia until present.

STPB, March 11^th, 2017 | STP NHI Bandung held The 55th Dies Natalies in Mandalawangi Building on Saturday, March 11, 2017. This event was attended by 250 students from all study programs with each study program represented by 10 students.

With the theme of Wonderful People For Wonderful Indonesia, this is one of Indonesia tourism branding to elevate development in the field of tourism and self-esteem of Indonesia. To encourage and develop the quality standards of tourism education, STP NHI Bandung has shared commitment in the field of tourism, the development of human resources, industry, destination and marketing.

Director of STP Bandung, Dr. Anang Sutono, CHE said that STP NHI Bandung graduates reach about 700 students each year. These graduates are 57 percent spread in the hospitality sector and the rest in MICE, events and travel industry.

On the occasion, Director of STP NHI Bandung also handed the Purna Bhakti awards to employees who have served until retirement, as well as the handed of CSR to the Ketimbang Ngemis Bandung Community, Tresna Wredha Nursing Home and Rumah Yatim.
